In case the title isn’t obvious, I’m a Muslim woman who has been diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. In my case this also means I have multiple food intolerances and have to stick to a strictly wheat and yeast free diet. This blog is my way of sharing many of the recipes that have helped me to still enjoy food even though I can’t eat most of the foods which I grew up on. ALL recipes on this blog will be wheat free and yeast free. There will also be some Gluten Free recipes (GF) and some Dairy Free ones (DF).

I suggest that anyone who wants to make such a drastic change in their diet should first consult a doctor. I am not qualified in any field of medicine so anything that I say on here regarding health issues is just my personal opinion. Ironically with an illness as controversial and politically battered as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, it turns out that a patients personal opinion will often carry more weight and stand more strongly under scientific scrutiny than the opinion of many doctors who take their advice on treating the condition from vested interest groups rather than genuine medical research.
